Sri Lanka - The Port of Call in the Indian Ocean

A Central and Convenient Location in the Indian Ocean. It sits approximately halfway between the Suez and the Strait of Malacca, the key maritime choke points to the east and west, and along routes from the Strait of Hormuz, which most of Asia's energy supplies transit.

Four convenient ports located around the island, with the Arabian Sea to the West, Bay of Bengal in the East and the Main East-West maritime trade lanes located in close proximate to the south of the island.
